Reporting to the Estates Surveyor, you will manage estates and projects across the entire UK and ROI portfolio, with a strong focus on estate management., You will primarily operate within a specific region of the UK and ROI, with occasional national travel, providing technical support to the Estate Management team, coordinating with external agents and internal colleagues to proactively manage lease events. You will oversee estate projects, offer lease advisory services, and maintain strong relationships with our external consultants.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide support and guidance with strategy, lease renewals, rent reviews & L&T queries across our trade counter portfolio.
  • Use technical and professional knowledge in ensuring the right decisions and or actions are reached for internal compliance and any RICS requirements
  • Build on existing excellent relationships we have with external agents dealing with our rent reviews, lease renewals and re-gears in the whole of the UK & ROI.
  • Manage enquiries from internal and external stakeholders including liaison with landlords.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships and keeping all stakeholders updated of progress regularly, providing professional advice under guidance.
  • Actively support, collaborate and work with the team on property projects.
  • Support with the preparation of budgets for rent, service charge, insurance and professional fees.
  • Update and ensure the accurate maintenance of the property database with accurate lease information following acquisitions, lease events and property sales.
  • Support the management and validation of treasury payments and service charges.
  • Provide general property management support.

Required skills & experience

  • Previous commercial property experience including lease advisory, coupled with a RICS accredited Degree in Real Estate Management or similar preferred. MRICS or working towards APC.
  • Communication – An effective, honest and clear communicator. Building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Planning and organising – maintaining an effective, flexible, ‘can do’ approach with a high level of personal organisation Ability to plan your workload efficiently.
  • Solution focuses – an innovative, lateral thinker, you always look for solutions to problems and can work well under pressure.
  • People – A team player with the confidence and ability to work independently as necessary. You strive for the highest standards while helping others achieve their best too.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft software packages including to be able to manipulate large files of data in excel.
