Screwfix Graduation 2022
In August we hosted our first face to face Graduation to celebrate colleagues who have passed our Trade Up to Assistant Manager, Trade Up to Branch Manager and Power Up Programmes. We recently caught up with some of our 2022 Graduates to find out what they enjoyed most about their Graduation Ceremony and Programmes. Peter Bridger, Trade Sales Manager at Tunbridge Wells store shares his thoughts below:
"The whole day wasn’t anything as I expected, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. I Iidn’t know what to expect as I had never been to or done anything like that before.
Personally, the best thing about completing the Power Up course was that it opened my eyes to the bigger picture, I learnt a lot of stuff that I had never even thought about before. The people I did it alongside were fantastic, and we all helped each other when needed - the team at Realise and my trainer were so supportive and always available if any help was needed.
The thing I enjoyed most about the Graduation was all the different people that came together for the same reason, meeting new people from all different backgrounds.
Obviously, I was very much shocked when I won the apprentice of the year award. So that was a huge bonus to the day too!"
To date, our programmes have been completed by over 400 of our colleagues. Thank you to our Leadership & Talent Team, the wider HR Team, Branch Managers and Area Managers for your hard work and support in running the programmes and working so closely with our learners.
